FAQ
Q: To what temperature does the Lattemento heat the milk?
A: To a temperature between 62-68 degrees celcius. This is the perfect temperature because the taste of the coffee doesn't get damaged and the coffee doesn’t burn because of overheated milk.
Q: How can I only heat milk?
A: This is a very simple, just remove the spiral from the whisk: only the plastic parts stays attached to the stainless steel whisk. This way there will be air stirred through the milk which causes it only to heat. This can be done with every desired capacity with a maximum of 500ml.
Q: Does the Lattemento work with every type of milk?
A: The Lattemento works best with milk that has a high protein level.
Q: How long does it take for the Lattemento to be ready?
A: This depends on the quantity of milk in the Lattemento. Usually it only takes minutes.
Q: I’d like to heat 2 quantities directly after one another: is this possible?
A: Yes this is possible, but the thermostat needs to reset and it will take the Lattemento about 2-4 minutes to get ready again. If you don’t wait for this, the milk will be heated but won’t be frothed.
Q: How can I clean the Lattemento?
A: You can clean it by flushing it out directly after use and clean the walls with a soft towel of brush. Never use sharp objects: it will damage the non-stick coating.
Q: Can I put the Lattemento in the dishwasher?
A: No you can’t, the Lattemento can only be flushed out under the tap.
Q: Why is there a small layer of milk sticking to the bottom of the Lattemento?
A: This is caused by the heating element that’s located in the bottom of the Lattemento. It is protein and is harmless and can be removed by simply wiping it off with a soft cloth.
